Hybrid care platform for neurodivergent adults
It is estimated that around 2 million adults in Germany are affected by ADHD and around 1% of adults are on the autism spectrum, many of them without a formal diagnosis. Long waiting times and limited access to appropriate services make it difficult for many people to receive timely diagnostic assessment and treatment.
vianova eHealth is therefore developing a platform for hybrid digital and in-person care. It combines an online self-assessment, remote diagnostic assessment, and a treatment model consisting of online group sessions, a training app, and individual sessions either online or in person. Digitalised, AI-supported administrative processes are designed to make workflows more efficient.
Project objectives
- Improve access: Adults who suspect they may have ADHD or autism should be able to receive an initial assessment and professional diagnostic evaluation with fewer barriers and regardless of where they live.
- Reduce waiting times: : Digital processes and telehealth services are intended to significantly shorten the time to diagnosis and the start of treatment.
- Improve continuity of care: Diagnostic assessment and treatment should be provided as part of one continuous care pathway, tailored to individual needs and delivered digitally or in person as appropriate.
- Reduce the administrative burden on professionals: Automated administrative processes should allow healthcare professionals to spend more time on direct patient care.
Expected results include a fully operational platform offering online self-assessment, remote diagnostic assessment, and hybrid treatment services, as well as faster and more continuous care for neurodivergent adults.
